What devices can I use to access Fathom?
The Fathom platform works with any modern web browser on a computer or mobile device! Currently, we do not have any mobile apps for offline viewing capability.

Account and Plans

How do I create an account?
If you would like to sign up for a plan, you can visit the plan section on the homepage: Fathom Reads - Plans.

If you already have a plan, you can create a new account here: Fathom Reads - Create an Account.
How do I reset my password?
You can reset your account password here: Fathom Reads - Forgot Your Password
How much does a Fathom subscription cost?
Pricing will vary depending on the amount of books, the subscription length, and the amount of schools/students.
How do I add books to my plan?
You can add books to your plan by going to the My Plan tab under My Account and clicking the "Add Books" link.

*You must be the license administrator or have purchase authority to perform this action.
**This action is not available for all plan types.
Use the default Sign In Link if students have individual accounts.
Each user would sign in with their own username and password.

Use the Group Access Link if students do not have individual accounts.
Each user would sign in using the same Group Password.

The Group Password and Group Access Link can be found under the My Plan tab on the My Account page. You must be a license administrator to access this tab.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription by going to the My Plan tab under My Account and clicking on the "Cancel Subscription" link. You must be the license administrator to cancel.

Where can I find the Roster Import document?

In the document you will find instructions to guide you through the import process.
How do I assign books to students?
You can assign books to your students by going to Your Dashboard, find the assignment section, and click "Add Assignment". From there, you can select a book and choose the classes or students you would like to assign it to.
How do I create my own quizzes?
If you go to Your Dashboard, you'll find the "Quizzes and Questions" button on the left sidebar. Most books have quizzes already made, but if you would like to make your own questions you can click "Add Questions". After you have added questions you can go back to the "Quizzes and Questions" page and click "Create a Quiz". You can then add any questions that you have created or others from the database to your quiz.
As a teacher, how do I see the answers to a quiz?
To access quiz answers:
  1. Go to the Quizzes page on your Dashboard
  2. Find the quiz you want and click the More button [ ]
  3. Click "Preview"
This will show the quiz with all of the correct answers filled in.
For reading assignments, can I assign students a specific chapter?
Unfortunately we do not yet have the capability to assign a specific chapter for a book, but this is something we are aware of and looking to add in the near future.
Can I print a quiz?
Yes, if you go to any quiz you can print it using one of the following methods:
  • Ctrl + P (Windows)
  • Command + P (Mac)
  • Go to the [ ] or [ ] button in the top right of your web browser, and then click "Print"
